because your ego drives you with fear
but your spirit gives you courage.
The seed of a great love is knowing first that I am,
and it buds from understanding myself.
It blooms from embracing who I am,
and bears fruit when I willingly lay myself down as an offering
at the alter of God's Grace and Mercy,
that He may grow within my heart,
A Greater Love,
One that sees beyond myself,
and knows that I am,because you are,
and that we are because He is.

With each poem my heart beats with a different rhythm,inspired by a dream, as I battle through each adversity and soar with each triumph.
When my heart races with excitement and my skin tingles in pleasure,
I remember what it means to hold my heart in my hands and feel the rhythm of life.
When I loose my pulse and I have to pick my heart off the floor,
I remember that I bleed because I live and ache because I love,
and the pain is a page that I will turn.

When I walk out of an abusive relationship,
I am no longer a victim;
I am WISE,
I am a STRONG MOTHER,
and I am a DIGNIFIED WOMAN
because I stand for up for my dignity,
when I stand against domestic violence.
There is a discord,
when your expectations of others,
stem from your self-perception of who they are,
which in fact,
is what they are not.
Create harmony,
seek rather to understand,
and not to judge.
I love being in my own company when I do not have to disappoint someone by embracing who I am.
When you respect yourself by honoring your own choices, you teach others how to respect you as they see how you treat yourself.
Love is priceless but is freely given...
A smile, that says 'hello'
A wink that says 'I have your back'
A nod that acknowledges your presence
A squeeze of your hand that says 'we are in this together'
A hug that says ' I missed you'

When you give your time without expecting a paycheck, your spirit is fulfilled ten fold...volunteer.
When you stay in an abusive relationship you feed a beast that is never satisfied. This beast is called fear because it engulfs your soul by consuming your spirit.
A free spirit loves without possessing
Is fulfilled without consuming
Is in charge without controlling
Gives without counting it as a loss
Is free without abandoning responsibility.
God speaks through the spirit
When you speak to God, you open your mind to listen to your spirit.
When you hear God, you recognise the voice of your Spirit.
When you walk in the spirit you walk with God.
Stress: A day will always have 24 hrs but your responsibilities keep adding on, demanding that you wear many hats and fill different shoes.Prioritizing will keep you on top of your responsibilities and not buried under them.
When a rhythm expresses the emotions you are experiencing and the words express what your mouth cannot articulate, music becomes therapy to your soul.
My faith does not grow in the confines of four brick walls but in the depth of a soul whose spirit is too free to be limited by the rules of man.
