Rejection

When someone rejects your self expression,

they do not have respect for the love you have for yourself,

and thus the capacity to love you.

Change

Transformation of character comes through a great personal sacrifice.

The question is...are you willing to bleed for what you believe in?

are you willing to starve your ego to feed your spirit?

because your ego drives you with fear 

but your spirit gives you courage.

A greater Love

The seed of a great love is knowing first that I am,

and it buds from understanding myself.

It blooms from embracing who I am,

and bears fruit when I willingly lay myself down as an offering

at the alter of God's Grace and Mercy,

that He may grow within my heart,

A Greater Love,

One that sees beyond myself,

and knows that I am,because you are,

and that we are because He is.

My story

My life is a story expressed in poetry

With each poem my heart beats with a different rhythm,inspired by a dream, as I battle through each adversity and soar with each triumph.

When my heart races with excitement and my skin tingles in pleasure,

I remember what it means to hold my heart in my hands and feel the rhythm of life.
When I loose my pulse and I have to  pick my heart off the floor,

I remember that I bleed because I live and ache because I love,

and the pain is a page that I will turn.

I am

I am not defined by problems,

I am defined by what I stand for and therefore what I stand against.

When I walk out of an abusive relationship,

I am no longer a victim; 

I am WISE,

I am a STRONG MOTHER,

and I am a DIGNIFIED WOMAN

because I stand for up for my dignity,

when I stand against domestic violence.

Harmony

There is a discord,

when your expectations of others,

stem from your self-perception of who they are,

which in fact,

is what they are not.

Create harmony,

seek rather to understand,

and not to judge.

 

Embrace yourself

I love being in my own company  when I do not have to disappoint someone by embracing who I am.
